In telephony, any of a number of special functions that may be specified initially, or added to, the user's basic service. (188 ) Note: Modern telephone switches are capable of providing a wide variety of service features, such as call forwarding and call waiting.

Calling feature
A service feature is a capability added to a phone line in addition to the basic capability to make and receive telephone calls. Many of them require dialing a vertical service code.

  • Call Trace (NOT Call return. User dials a code after an incoming call to send a trace to the # that called. User then must have phone company or annoyance call center get info on call. Used for annoyance calls.
  • Call Selector (Allows multiples ringtones for incoming numbers)
