one that attempt to simulate processes in the real world. This model attempts to describe the interaction of the objects and predict what will happen if some action occurs. It is sometimes referred to as cartographic model.
Note: Four models are primarily involved in the process modelling. Suitability modelling(finding optimum locations); Distance modeling(finding the distance from one point to another); Hydrologic modeling(finding the route of water flow); Surface modelling(finding the pollution level for various locations over the city).

An iterative, milestone-based approach to the development process. The way in which activities in a systems development life cycle are sequenced, and the time and formality committed to each life-cycle stage. The combination of clearly defined life cycle model, project team roles, delivery milestones, and solution development principles.
