Duce is a Croatian village situated close to Omiš in the Split-Dalmatia County. It is a series of small settlements in Poljica, the area between the foot of the Mosor mountainous chain and the sea.

Duce (, leader) is an Italian title, derived from the Latin word dux, and cognate with duke. National Fascist Party leader Benito Mussolini was identified by Fascists as Il Duce ("The Leader") of the movement and became a reference to the dictator position of Head of Government and Duce of Fascism (Capo del Governo e Duce del Fascismo) of Italy was established in 1925 by Mussolini which he personally held until 1943. This position was the model which other fascist leaders adopted, such as the position of Führer by Adolf Hitler.
