a solution used to resolve an image after exposure. For a positive photoresist the developer has a higher attack rate on the exposed portion of a photoresist than on an unexposed portion of the photoresist. For a negative photoresist the developer has a high attack rate on the unexposed portion of the photoresist than on the exposed portion of the photoresist.
