Rakefet
Cube
Cube Often mentioned as equivalent to the square, tetrad, or quaternary. The line, square, and cube represent three stages of matter, with the cube derived from the square in the same way as the square is derived from the line. A cube opened out gives a cross of six squares, four in the vertical line and three in the horizontal, one square being common to both, which is an emblem of the human being with his spiritual and material nature meeting at the intersection.

Cube
This article is about the geometric shape. For other meanings of the word "cube", see cube (disambiguation).
A cube is a three-dimensional solid object bounded by six square faces, facets or sides, with three meeting at each . The cube can also be called a regular hexahedron and is one of the five Platonic solids. It is a special kind of square prism, of rectangular parallelepiped and of 3-sided trapezohedron. The cube is dual to the octahedron. It has cubical symmetry (also called octahedral symmetry). A cube is the three-dimensional case of the more general concept of a hypercube, which exists in any dimension.

Cubé or Lancepod (Lonchocarpus utilis) is part of the Fabaceae (or Leguminosae) family. It is native to the tropical forests of Peru, as well as of Brazil and Guyana, growing from 100–1,800 meters above sea level.

Cubé resin, the root extract from Cubé and from Barbasco (Lonchocarpus urucu), is used as a commercial insecticide and piscicide (fish poison). The major active ingredients are rotenone and deguelin. Although "organic" (produced by nature) rotenone is no longer considered an environmentally safe chemical.
