Atypical antipsychotic
The atypical anti-psychotics (also known as second generation anti-psychotics) are a class of prescription medications used to treat psychiatric conditions. Some atypical anti-psychotics are FDA approved for use in the treatment of schizophrenia. Some carry FDA approved indications for acute mania, bipolar mania, psychotic agitation, bipolar maintenance, and other indications.
