Arginine
Nonessential amino acid but may be essential for individuals with certain diseases or nutritional concerns. May promote the release of growth hormone. Involved in creatine synthesis, a compound that stores energy in muscle. Promotes wound healing and regeneration of the liver; and is considered crucial for optimal muscle growth and tissue repair. Helps to remove ammonia from the body as part of the urea cycle. Arginine has improved immune responses to bacteria, viruses & tumor cells

arginine (Arg)
Say it
(R, C6H14N4O2)An essential amino acid and building block of proteins. Arginine acts as a base under physiological conditions; the double-bonded nitrogen on the end of the side chain readily captures a hydrogen ion, becoming positively charged. This charged side group makes arginine hydrophilic .

Arginine
Arginine (abbreviated as Arg or R) is an α-amino acid. The L-form is one of the 20 most common natural amino acids. Its codons are CGU, CGC, CGA and CGG. In mammals, arginine is classified as a semiessential or conditionally essential amino acid, depending on the developmental stage and health status of the individual. Infants are unable to effectively synthesize arginine, making it nutritionally essential for infants. Adults, however, are able to synthesize arginine in the urea cycle.
