1. Chest pain, especially that which is acute and spasmodic, caused by or associated with an undersupply of blood (specifically, of physiologically available oxygen) to the myocardium. 2. A form of heart disease marked by severe and/or spasmodic chest pain due to under-oxygenation of the myocardium.
