Amon Amarth
Amon Amarth is a viking-themed melodic death metal band from TumbaSweden founded in 1992 in Tumba, named after a location in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. The name means "Mount Doom" in Sindarin, one of Tolkien's Elvish languages. They were originally known as Scum in 1988 and released one demo before they became Amon Amarth in 1992.
