Tennis Terms
The game point following deuce. If a player wins the "advantage" point, he or she wins the game.
Tennis Glossary
the point after deuce. The player is at an advantage because they only need one more point to win the game. If the ad player does not win the next point, the score goes back to deuce. There is no limit to how many times this can happen.
Dictionary Soccer
A clause in the law that directs the referee to refrain from stopping play for a foul if a stoppage would benefit the team that committed the violation.
