Sikh
A Sikh (English: or ; , , IPA: ) is an adherent to Sikhism. The term has its origin in the Sanskrit "shishya", which means disciple or learner. Many male Sikhs can easily be recognized by their turbans, beards, or steel bracelets on their right wrists.
Most Sikhs come from the Punjab region of India, although significant communities exist around the world.
