Ghosts (Harry Potter)
In the fictional universe of JK Rowling's Harry Potter novels, ghosts play an important secondary role, mainly as supporting characters. Unlike the ghosts in a traditional ghost story, these ghosts are neither frightening nor necessarily ghoulish (the traditional ghostly deformities, such as bloodstains and missing heads, are played mostly for laughs, rather than fright), and many ghosts act as advisors to the main characters in their times of need.
