Definition of Cyclobalanopsis

Cyclobalanopsis is a genus of about 150 species of flowering plants in the family Fagaceae, native to eastern and southeastern Asia. The genus is closely related to Quercus and included in it as a subgenus by many botanists; however, the Flora of China treats it as a distinct genus. The species share the same common name oak with Quercus.
