Anatosaurus
ANATOSAURUS anectens (formerly called TRACHODON) The Anatosaurus was the classic "duck billed" dinosaur, and its name was given to the whole group of these animals. The name means "duck lizard", which refers to its broad toothless snout. Fossils of this dinosaur are quite common, and some mummified specimens have been discovered with the skin and even some of the internal organs preserved. TIME - 77 - 73 MYA, Late Cretaceous RANGE - USA -Alaska, Colorado, Montana, N. Dakota, S. Dakota, Wyoming. Canada - Alberta, Saskatchewan. DIET - This dinosaur was a herbivore, with a diet consisting of various foliage & fruits. SIZE - Adults reached up to 43 ft (13m) in length and were 13ft (4m) tall. Edmontosaurus
Edmontosaurus (ed-MON-toh-sawr-us) meaning 'Edmonton lizard' (after where it was found, in southern Alberta in what used to be called "Lower Edmonton" in the Horseshoe Canyon Formation, Alberta, Canada and Greek sauros meaning lizard) was a hadrosaurid dinosaur genus from the Maastrichtian, the last stage of the Cretaceous Period, 71-65 million years ago. Depending on the species, a fully-grown adult could have been up to 9 metres (30 ft) long, and some of the larger specimens reached the range of 12 metres (40 ft) to 13 metres (43 ft) long. Its weight was in the region of 4.0 tonnes (4.4 short tons), making it one of the largest hadrosaurids. It resembled Maiasaura in its shape and posture, though the two genera were quite different in size.
