Anatomical Automatic Labeling
Anatomical Automatic Labeling (AAL) is a computer program package and a digital human brain atlas. It is particularly used in research-based human functional neuroimaging, where it is used to obtain a neuroanatomical label to a given coordinate in the human brain. It is developed by a French research group based in Caen, and it is described further in the following scientific article: The AAL digital human brain atlas is also available independent from the AAL computer program, e.g., in the MRIcro program.
