Definition of Albanian national army

The Albanian National Army (ANA) is an ethnic Albanian militant organization operating in the Republic of Macedonia. The group opposes the Ohrid Framework Agreement which ended the 2001 Macedonia conflict between insurgents of the National Liberation Army and Macedonian security forces. The United States Government has declined to place the group on their list of suspected terrorist organizations, stating that the group is a "threat to peace and stability in the Western Balkans" and nothing more than a criminal gang.
