Feeding Habits
Feeder goldfish, assorted chopped vegetables make the bulk of the diet. Should be offered brine shrimp, flake foods and small amounts of chopped fruits once or twice a week. A 'cuttlebone' broken into 1/4 pieces should be placed in the food dish. A bowl of fresh water needs to be available at all times. The bowl should be large enough for the crab to sit in but shallow enough for them to be able to get out .
Compatibility
Tend to be territorial and cannibalistic. Should be kept individually.
Habitat
The Land Crab should be kept on 2-3 inches of sand or gravel. The substrate should be kept dry and needs to be cleaned at least once a week.
Breeding
Has not been successful in captivity.
Additional Comments
Very little is known about African Land Crabs. They make a good addition to any terrarium and can live 10 to 15 years .
